Sheffield Hallam Games lecturer, Dr Tom Garner, has his virtual reality simulation, FireSIM, demonstrated at the IFIRE Conference in Massachusetts, USA. FireSIM is an immersive experience simulating consequences of arson. Designed for convicted arsonists as part of their rehabilitation and developed with cutting-edge games technologies to produce an evocative experience.

Adam Shepherd

I teach within Games Design. During my time at the university I have taught 3D modelling, Rigging, Texturing and Animation through levels 4-7, as well as various skills and techniques within software such as Zbrush, for high polygon definition with character creation.

Students reach the Commonwealth Games

With the support of donations, 15 students travelled to the Australian Gold Coast to volunteer at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in March this year.
