Gravity is a space for debates about the visual as a critical domain within Fine Art practice. This collaborative project by artists Penny McCarthy, Becky Shaw and Andrew Sneddon examines the many ways the art world deals with its ambivalent and yet enduring relations with artefacts.

May 2014 sees the end of Becky Shaw's research residency with AIR, Central St Martins, University of the Arts but her work continues with Lafarge Tarmac at Kings Cross.

Christoph Zellweger has been invited to give a lecture at this year's Šperk Stret 2014 conference in October where he will be presenting 'What's up with jewellery / news from the edge'. The 6th international conference of contemporary jewellery in Bratislava Šperk Stret´14 follows a running tradition. The aim is to encourage a search across disciplines for new inspiration and offers a forum for dialogue and discussion.

Chloë is an artist and Senior Lecturer in Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University. She has an MA in Sculpture from Chelsea College of Art, London (1994), and a BA in Fine Art from the University of Reading (1987). She has exhibited widely nationally and internationally, including three international biennials (Istanbul Biennial, Mardin Biennial and the British Ceramics Biennial). From 1995 to 2013 Chloë was a member of The Research Group for Artists Publications (RGAP) and in 2015 she was made a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).
