What black authors think about the UK publishing industry - a survey

Cathy Harris (CRESR) and Bernadette Stiell (CDARE) have published an article in The Conversation, based on their research on diversity in the children’s literature sector for Arts Council England conducted last year. Given the current conversations about racism across all aspects of life, this research highlights again the profound and cyclical impacts that systemic racism has on children’s reading, learning and career opportunities – particularly as authors and in publishing more generally.
