We provide postgraduate study through our taught masters programmes and our research-led PhDs and score consistently highly in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey. 

All of our postgraduate students are an integral part of the research group and their work often forms the basis of our research output.

Working with industry and elite sport

Our teachers and research supervisors work closely with elite athletes and industry. This leads to research-enriched learning and a teaching environment where live, real world projects are used to demonstrate the relevance of the skills being taught.  

Beyond this, students gain benefits from the network of contacts with elite sport and industry. This allows them to conduct research projects in collaboration with national governing bodies and international sports equipment manufacturers. This experience is invaluable when they leave to seek employment after their studies.
