Our SYIoT space

We’re creating a dedicated South Yorkshire Institute of Technology space in our flagship campus development in Sheffield City Centre. 

Across a dedicated floor within a brand-new zero-carbon ready building, learners will benefit from the latest equipment being used by industry - including

• A large cutting-edge immersive suite with AR and VR equipment to replicate real-world scenarios, plus interactive 3D graphics and audio 
• High-resolution scanning facilities
• Wearable sensors
• Drone technology
• Robotics
• Interactive studio space 

Our provision

As a SYIoT partner we offer higher and degree apprenticeship courses in the following subject areas: 

• Construction and quantity surveying
• Engineering
• Packaging
• Healthcare and science

We also offer undergraduate degree courses in BA (Hons) Game Design and Development, BA (Hons) Game Art, BA (Hons) Digital Media Production and BSc (Hons) Computer Games Technologies.

SYIoT’s education partners include DN Colleges Group, Sheffield Hallam University, Barnsley College, The University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre, The Sheffield College and RNN Group. The IoT is also supported by employers including HLM Architects, AESSEAL Plc and Pendo.
