Financial wellbeing and support

There are clear links between money and mental health. Mental health issues can make managing money harder and worrying about money can make mental health issues worse. We also know that money issues can affect students' ability to engage with their studies, but support is available from the University from the moment you join us through to graduation and beyond.

One of our students, Mitchell, has put together a video about managing your money, what to do if you’re struggling with your finances and how Hallam can support you.

Take our Money and Mental Health mini module

Our mini module explains the links between money and mental health, helps you identify triggers or tendencies that lead towards ineffective money management and identifies how you can take positive action and build resilience to address any financial and mental health worries.
