- 100% of our research impact was judged to be World leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*), ranking us 5th of all UK Universities (86) on research impact

- 83.3% of our impact was judged to be World leading (4*) demonstrating the impact that our research is having on society, culture and the economy

- 100% of our research environment was once again judged to be World leading or internationally excellent

For REF 2021 we submitted a range of competitive research funding awards to the value of £7.9 million, up from £2.7 million in 2014. We submitted 31.25 fte, up from 24.46 fte in 2014.

The physical environment, support of academics, research assistants and students were all adjudicated as 4* and 3*. These outstanding results were the outcome of over 20 years of development within the centre.

At the 2014 REF we submitted 24.46 fte staff and a range of competitive research funding awards to the value of £2.7 million.
