This was the second COST Action Conference, this time to be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia, between 5 – 8th November 2018.

The conference also co-localised working group meetings and the whole event was chaired by Prof Simona Francese, leading a consortium of 33 countries of which 28 are COST EU member countries.

The theme of the conference was " Forensic Imaging Techniques - an exploration of their potential as standalone tools and within a multimodal approach". Prof Francese also presented a paper entitled "Investigation of infinite focus microscopy for the determination of the association of blood with fingermarks" - co-authored by former PhD student Lisa Deininger, Prof Malcolm Clench (BMRC), Prof Chris Sammon (MERI), the Home Office UK and Elite Forensics US.
