Professor Nicola Woodroofe, Head of the BMRC, is a member of the Daphne Jackson Trust Awards Assessment Panel and was interviewed by the British Society for Immunology on the issue of career breaks and how the Daphne Jackson Trust can help.

The BMRC and MERI are supporting a Daphne Jackson Trust fellow, Dr Louise Vickers, working with Dr Christine Le Maitre (BMRC) and Professor Chris Sammon (MERI) on a biomaterials project. Fellows normally carry out their research part-time over 2 years, in a university or research establishment in the UK. The Fellowships are flexible and include a tailored training programme designed to update skills and knowledge and give support for the return to research.
