This course is open to students who have an interest in developing and furthering their knowledge on international business to meet their career aspirations. Students who apply for this course normally have a 2:1 bachelor's degree or suitable work experience.

This course is delivered face-to-face over three semesters - teaching is scheduled based on the length of your course and the academic calendar.
Work experience is embedded midway through your course. Your dissertation module will be submitted upon completion of your placement.

We help you gain a placement by running employability workshops and have a dedicated work experience team to support you.

The course features an international consultancy project opportunity, supported by Venture Matrix, where you carry out assessed projects based on real-world business solutions for local organisations.
The project aims to enhance your business awareness and improve your employment prospects. The opportunity to visit and communicate regularly with a company will be particularly beneficial to international students from the point of view of business engagement and real-life practical experience.

All students
You normally need one of the following
• a good bachelors degree from an approved degree awarding body, university or college, in a business-related field
• professional qualification(s) by examination, recognised as being the equivalent of a bachelors degree in a business-related field with additional evidence to justify the equivalence of the qualification
• a specified diploma in a business-related field that, on satisfactory completion, allows you to follow a course of study for a masters degree
If English is not your first language you will need an IELTS score of 6.5 with a minimum 6.0 in all skills.
You may also be able to claim credit points which can reduce the amount of time it takes to complete your qualification at Sheffield Hallam. Find out more

Home students
Our tuition fee for UK students starting full-time study in 2023/24 is £9,910 for the course without work experience placement or £11,410 with work experience placement.
