Activities and support over the Easter break

Many of the University services will be closed for the May bank holidays. This includes 4, 25 and 26 May.
The Hallam Help Service will be closed from 5pm on Friday 1 May and will reopen on Tuesday 5 May at 8.45am. And again will be closed from 5pm on Friday 22 May, reopening on Wednesday 27 May at 8.45am.
Please be assured we still have a range of events, services and support available for all students whether you’re staying in Sheffield or at home during this time.
Urgent help
If you require urgent help there are security staff available 24/7. To contact them please call ext. 2000 on internal phones or 0114 225 2000 if calling from an external line.
Supporting your wellbeing
The Wellbeing Service will close at 5pm on Friday 1 May and reopen at 9am on Tuesday 5 May. And again will be closed from 5pm on Friday 22 May, reopening at 9am on Wednesday 27 May.
Our Student Wellbeing Service page provides information, advice and practical support to help you manage your studies and make the most of university life.
Our online self-help service Togetherall is free for Hallam students and available 24/7. You can log in with your student email address.

Library and Skills Centre
Our two campus libraries are open 24/7 providing a range of learning spaces, including those for individual and group working.
The Library Skills Centre will close on Friday 1 May and reopen on Tuesday 5 May. The Library Skills Centre will then close on Friday 22 May, reopening on Wednesday 27 May. You can access our full range of online resources, including session recordings and digital tools to support editing and proofreading.
24/7 Library Chat will continue to be available as part of the Library Online, and a full list of our online resources available over the May Bank Holidays is included in our latest blog post.
Careers and employability
Our Careers & Employability Hub will be closed from 4pm on Thursday 30 April and will reopen at 10am on Tuesday 5 May. The Hub will again be closed from 4pm on Thursday 21 May, reopening at 10.30am on Wednesday 27 May. During these closures, you can access our Careers and Employability website for digital support with applications and any other careers related queries.
You can also find a ‘Careers Support over the Holidays’ online package of digital tools to help you focus and build upon your career aspirations over the bank holiday breaks.
The Multifaith Chaplaincy
The Multifaith Chaplaincy centre will close at 6pm on Friday 1 May and will reopen at 8am Tuesday 5 May. The centre will also be closed from 6pm on Friday 22 May, and reopen at 8am on Wednesday 27 May. While the Multifaith Chaplaincy is closed during these times, there are plenty of things going on in local faith communities. Please take a look at our Faith Directory for more information.
Technical spaces
Access to some facilities during W/C 30 March may be limited.
All specialist technical spaces will be closed from 4:30pm on Thursday 2 April. The majority of spaces will re-open at 9am on Wednesday 8 April.

The HPO and Sheaf stores will close at 4pm on Thursday 2 April and reopen at 9am on Wednesday 8 April.
IT support
During the University’s closure period, if you have an urgent query you can still contact our out-of-hours service on 0114 225 3333 all day, every day.
You can also report issues, or submit requests, using our self-service portal which will be dealt with when the University reopens. You can find more information on the IT and Library services tab.
Students' Union
The Students' Union will close for the early May bank holiday on Friday 1 May, 5pm and reopen on Tuesday 5 May, 9am.
They will also close for the late May bank holiday on Friday 22 May, 5pm and reopen on Wednesday 27 May, 9am.
