The Hallam Help Service remains open during summer. Whether you’re on campus or at home, our support team is available.
Urgent help
If you are on campus and require urgent help there are security staff available 24/7. To contact them please call ext. 2000 on internal phones or 0114 225 2000 if calling from an external line.
Supporting your wellbeing
Our Student Wellbeing Service page provides information, advice and practical support to help you manage your studies and make the most of university life.
In addition you have access to Togetherall, a free online platform for students at Hallam, providing you with access to free wellbeing resources and an online community 24/7. You can log in with your student email address.
Library and Skills Centre
Your Library Online provides access to books, journals, databases, subject support, the Skills Centre, and 24/7 Library Chat.
Our two campus libraries are open 24/7 providing a range of learning spaces, including those for individual and group working.
The Library’s Skills Centre is open over the summer.
We’re running live webinars until the end of July, and 1–1 appointments are available to help with your assignments or research.

Careers and employability
Our Careers & Employability Hub remains open over summer. Our opening hours are: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 10am - 4pm, Wednesday 12-4pm, Friday 9am-12pm.
Appointments are available to book 9am-5pm (plus late on Wednesday evenings) as previously, but the front desk will only be open during the above hours.
You can access our Careers and Employability website for digital support with applications and any other careers related queries.
You can also find a ‘Careers Support over the Holidays’ online package of digital tools to help you focus and build upon your career aspirations over the summer.

Students' Union
Your Student’s Union will remain open and continue to provide exciting events, new opportunities, and independent advice throughout the summer break.

Facing an academic, housing, or funding issue? SU Advice has dedicated advisers to guide you through the relevant University processes to find a resolution to your issue.
