White Rose Social Sciences Doctoral Training Partnership

The WRDTP is a collaborative partnership between Sheffield Hallam and the universities of Bradford, Hull, Leeds, Manchester Metropolitan, Sheffield and York.

Accredited by the ESRC, it builds on the research excellence of the partners to deliver PhD training across the social sciences.

The University Alliance Doctoral Training Alliance

Building on the research strengths and industry-focused ethos of its partner universities, the University Alliance Doctoral Training Alliance (DTA) is the largest multi-partner and only nationwide doctoral training initiative of its kind.

We offer scholarships across the three DTAs: Applied Biosciences for Health, Energy and Social Policy.

DTA3/COFUND Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Fellowship programme

Sheffield Hallam University is a partner in the extended University Alliance Doctoral Training Alliance (DTA3), which brings together our existing doctoral training initiatives in Applied Biosciences for Health, Energy and Social Policy.

Following a €6.5million award from the European Commission, under the Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie (MSCA) COFUND scheme, DTA3 will be delivered through a consortium of 15 universities across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, to develop up to 83 early-stage researchers.

North of England Consortium for Arts and Humanities

Founded in 2014, the North of England Consortium for Arts and Humanities (NECAH) is a partnership between Bradford, Huddersfield, Hull, Leeds Beckett, Sheffield Hallam and Teesside universities, established to deliver doctoral training, widen access to Masters provision and to promote research across all arts and humanities disciplines.
