I have worked at Sheffield Hallam University since 2007. I started as a Lecturer in Law before being appointed to Senior Lecturer in 2009 and Principal Lecturer in Law in January 2015. I have taught a number of modules and held a number of management roles during my time in academia

I am passionate about teaching public health nursing. I have remained in practice as a school nurse and sexual health practitioner whilst teaching at the university. I am interested in teenage health and how to improve it. I have developed my knowledge and skills in psychological approaches to behaviour change. I am proficient in Motivational Interviewing and am a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.
