Anita's background is in adult nursing, community nursing and health visiting. She worked for many years as a frontline Health Visitor, then supporting students undertaking the Specialist Community Public Health Nursing course as a Practice Teacher.

For my PhD, I am investigating the behaviour of children in online gaming environments, with a specific focus on the risk and protective factors for sexual harm.

Ronak started her PhD at SHU in 2014 in the field of sol-gel chemistry and energy storage. Her PhD was focused on sol-gel fabrication of ionogel electrolytes for double-layer supercapacitors. Following her PhD, Ronak used her background in sol-gel chemistry to enter the field of biomaterials by researching into bioactive glass ceramics for healthcare applications. She is currently part of the iPSpine project which aims to design a novel therapy for chronic lower back pain related to disc degeneration.

Since 2012, I have been a full-time member of the TESOL team. During this period I have been course leader on the English for International Nursing and English for Radiation Therapy Physics courses

Chris is Head of Portfolio and Partnerships in the College of Health, Wellbeing and Life Sciences. He is responsible for the development and implementation of portfolio innovations including degree apprenticeships, and leads strategic engagement across the public and private sectors.

I am an Associate Course Leader for the BSc Psychology course, and module leader for both undergraduate and postgraduate modules.
