Neil teaches inorganic and materials chemistry and has an active research group investigating the biological applications of inorganic nanomaterials

My research examines how people with insomnia perceive their own and other people's faces in relation to tiredness. I am also interested in the relationship between personality and insomnia.

Dr Nikki Jordan-Mahy is the BSc/MSci Biochemistry Course Leader and Principal Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University. She is a graduate of Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, at the University of London where she received a BSc Hons degree in Physiology and Zoology. On completion of her degree she undertook her PhD at Cambridge University at the MRC Dunn Nutrition Unit.
