Led by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority, Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield City Council, the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Technology Parks, the Sheffield Innovation Spine is creating the conditions for businesses to start, scale and succeed.

Stretching through Sheffield city centre from the University of Sheffield, via West Bar, Castlegate and Riverside, to Sheffield Hallam University's City Campus and the railway station, the Innovation Spine connects world-class research, specialist facilities, talented people and innovative businesses in one thriving innovation district.

The initiative aligns with Sheffield and South Yorkshire's Growth Plan, supporting the development of an innovation-led economy that is attracting both national and international investment, creating high-value jobs and helping businesses to scale.
