We are pleased to announce that two of our doctoral students completed their PhDs yesterday, 15th February 2016.

As usual, a little celebration was held in the BMRC corridor to congratulate them.

Yasin Al-Luaibi's thesis is entitled Molecular genetics and microbiology of bioremediation using methane-oxidising bacteria. He was supervised by Professor Tom Smith and Dr Karen Stanley.

Yasin’s studies were entirely funded by the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq.

Esadawi's studies were entirely funded by the Libyan Embassy.

Congratulations to the students and their supervisors!
