Ticket details

  • Your graduate ticket is free and must be booked through My Student Record.
  • You can also book up to two guest tickets at £16 each. Guest tickets are required for adults and children aged two and over. Children under two do not need a ticket.
  • Bookings close on Friday 23 October.
  • If extra tickets become available for your ceremony, these will be released in stages from 26-28 October. Find out about booking extra graduation tickets.
  • Graduate bookings made after 23 October will carry a late booking fee and may not be seated with others in the same award.
  • A carer ticket can be provided in addition to your guest tickets. You will need to provide supporting documentation when requesting a carer ticket. Please see the graduation terms and conditions for further information and submit your request to graduation@shu.ac.uk.

How to book

  • Go to the My Certificate and Graduation tab on My Student Record. Please don't try accessing it from multiple devices, as this may result in your account being locked.
  • Select the ‘Book Graduation Tickets and Pay Online' option.
  • Enter any accessibility or special requirements for you and your guests.
  • Tell us how your name is pronounced to make sure we announce it correctly at your ceremony.     
  • Download your tickets from the My e-Ticket link on My Student Record a week before your ceremony.
  • If you’re graduating from a partner college, call our Graduation Team on 0114 225 5353 to book your tickets.

Cancellations and refunds

  • Tickets cancelled before Friday 23 October 2026 will be refunded in full.
  • Please email graduation@shu.ac.uk and allow up to 10 working days for refunds to be processed.
