Graduation venues

Your graduation day takes place across two Sheffield city centre venues – Owen Building for gown collection and photography, and Ponds Forge for your ceremony. Allow 10-15 minutes to get from one to the other.

The venues

Travel and parking

• Plan ahead to arrive on time! You can travel to Sheffield city centre by train, plane, coach, car or tram. 
• We have plenty of discounted car parks available. Ponds Forge also has discounted parking in Q Park at Castlegate. 
• Validate your discounted parking at the Graduation information desk in the Ponds Forge foyer.
• Discounts may change so please check closer to the day.
• Blue badge parking is available on a first come first served basis at the main entrance to City Campus, on nearby roads, and in Ponds Forge car park. See the Ponds Forge venue page for access info.

Accessibility information

• Ponds Forge is about a 12 minute walk from Owen Building. The route is signposted, with Sheffield Hallam branding along the way to help guide you. 
• An accessible route is also clearly signposted for anyone who prefers or needs to use it. 
• If you need help getting around, Mobile Sheffield offers mobility scooters, wheelchairs and tri walkers.
