Companies Operating in the Uyghur Region (XLSX, 8MB)

This spreadsheet contains over 50,000 companies that operate in the Uyghur Region, including those related to manufacturing and export but also to professional services, construction, telecommunications, retail, etc. This provides an expansive portrait of the corporate environment of the Uyghur Region, though it is not exhaustive. The second tab is a slightly reduced version of the first list that includes over 35,000 companies that are identified under the categories most likely to be relevant to mining, farming, manufacturing, technology, and export. Names, addresses, and sectors are listed in both Chinese and English.

We include both lists here to accommodate varied use cases for the data. We recommend use of the full list, as it is more comprehensive, but we also abbreviated list to accommodate those seeking a bit more streamlined approach.

Companies Named in Media and Academic Reports as engaging in Labour Transfers or other XUAR Government Programs (XLSX, 916.8KB)

This spreadsheet includes all of the companies that have been identified in media or academic reports as engaging in labour transfers, including one sheet for transfers within the Uyghur Region, and one sheet for transfers outside of the Uyghur Region. For both of these sheets, the original source of the information is provided. A third sheet includes a selection of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) companies, as well as information on where to locate a longer list of XPCC companies. Three additional sheets include companies operating in the Uyghur Region relevant to UFLPA priority sectors: apparel, tomato, and polysilicon.
