I was appointed as Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam University after completing a Laurea in Molecular Biology at the University of Milan (IT), and a Professional Body course and examination at University of Pavia (IT) and a PhD at University of Birmingham. I have taught molecular biology at the University of Milan at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Molecular Pharmacology and Neurobiology at Sheffield Hallam. I am an internationally known researcher in the area of epilepsy.

Ronak Janani
Ronak started her PhD at SHU in 2014 in the field of sol-gel chemistry and energy storage. Her PhD was focused on sol-gel fabrication of ionogel electrolytes for double-layer supercapacitors. Following her PhD, Ronak used her background in sol-gel chemistry to enter the field of biomaterials by researching into bioactive glass ceramics for healthcare applications. She is currently part of the iPSpine project which aims to design a novel therapy for chronic lower back pain related to disc degeneration.

Dr Peter Weston
Dr Peter Weston is a Postdoctoral Research Associate working on advanced heat recovery system for the food industry. He is based at the National Centre of Excellence for Food Engineering.

Wayne Cranton is the Assistant Dean, Research, for the College of Business, Technology and Engineering at Sheffield Hallam. His research is concerned with the study of thin film materials for electronic displays, sensors, and light emitting devices.
Christopher Roast
Chris has worked in a variety of areas oriented to practical and applied research within computing and interaction design. He enjoys in the inherently cross-disciplinary nature of digital device and service design, and how digital technology can mediate the transition from users who are unfamiliar with a technology to users who effectively benefit from it.
