Teach early years children
The first five years in a child's life lays down the foundations for future learning and development. Children who get the best start go on to thrive and flourish. Do you have what it takes to provide the best start for the next generation? Our early years teacher status course will inspire and prepare you to teach and care for the youngest children in a range of settings, including nurseries, foundation stages, and children's centres.
As well as learning from expert lecturers who have a strong reputation for their work in the region, you will train in a number of local settings and schools, getting the experience you need to start your career - which 90% of our student teachers do within six months of completing the course.
If you have a degree, you can train to qualify as an early years teacher in one year. This course leads to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, as well as Early Years Teacher Status which allows you to start your teaching career.
This course is fully funded through the Department of Education (DfE). You could also be eligible for a bursary while you are studying. Check the Department of Education (DfE) website for the latest information.
