Activate your Hallam account

You can activate your Hallam IT account as soon as you receive your enrolment invitation email. We will send you this about two weeks before your course begins.

Activating your account creates a single login you will use for email, online learning, room booking and more. You will also use it to enrol.

You will need:

  • your student number, and
  • your username.

Both of these appear in your enrolment invitation email. 

Can't find the enrolment email?

First check your course start date to make sure your email is due. Your email will arrive around two weeks before your start date.

If the email is due but you can't find it, try the following.

  • Make sure you are checking the same email account you used to apply.
  • Look for the subject line 'Time to enrol at Sheffield Hallam'.
  • Check your junk or spam folders.

If you still can't find your email, contact us at enrolment@shu.ac.uk or on 0114 478 1478. The team is available 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday.
