Here are five ways to make the most of it.
Gain new skills. By taking our Global Citizen Portfolio you’ll learn how to engage successfully with people from different cultures – skills that employers are always looking for.
Make friends from around the world through Culture Connect. Take part in fun social events and activities designed to help you meet new people, build connections and feel at home at Hallam.
Enjoy social activities. Meet friends from around the world with our on-campus get-togethers and trips to local attractions. There's also
SHU Fest, a huge celebration of the talent and diversity of our students.
Apply for funding. There may be some financial help available to support study visits and field trips abroad, and other course related opportunities.

Languages for All Scheme
You’ll develop new and existing language skills in a supportive and enthusiastic community. You can choose from beginner to higher levels in French, Italian, and Spanish - enabling you to build your self confidence, make new friends and enhance your career prospects.
