About the space

The Pennine Lecture Theatre is the largest theatre at Sheffield Hallam University. With raked seating and a large platform at the front of the theatre, the Pennine can accommodate a number of stage set ups, whatever your event. A range of microphones can also be provided: table-top, lapel and roving, to enable question and answer sessions.

Projection is from a high quality data projector mounted on the ceiling of the theatre and can be controlled from the platform or from the technician's booth which is located inside the theatre. An experienced technician will be with you at all times to offer assistance and guidance to ensure the smooth running of your event.

Speaker presentations can be pre-loaded onto the system and talks can be video-recorded for future reference. As with all of our lecture theatres, the Pennine is fully air conditioned.

The Pennine can be paired with our Heartspace Atrium for all your catering and exhibition needs, with direct access to a number of break-out rooms. Very large conferences, with more than 446 delegates, can be accommodated by using the Pennine in partnership with one or more of our other lecture theatres, such as the Peak Lecture Theatre, via a live video link.
