There will be limited access to specialist technical facilities and support this week due to equipment maintenance and staff leave. If you have any specific support requirements, please ensure you contact the relevant technical team before arriving on-site.
On Friday the 23 December, the university will start its festive shutdown procedures around lunchtime and buildings may be closed earlier than usual.
Week starting 2 January 2023
Technical facilities will be closed on Monday 2 January. Facilities will come back online from Tuesday 3 January, however, there may still be limited access this week due to any ongoing maintenance and staff leave.
Please ensure you contact the local technical team to confirm which facilities are available before arriving on site.

Access to all technical facilities will be available.
Access to specialist technical spaces for self directed learning.
Access to our specialist spaces varies depending on the location and the subject area.
There are a number of ways you can contact TORS staff to arrange support:
Head Post Office workshops/Sheaf Workshops
Specialist spaces that are not available for self-directed learning are:
- Owen and Norfolk building Bioscience and Chemistry teaching laboratories
- Owen Food and Nutrition labs
- Owen Hospitality kitchens and Food technology areas
- Sport and Physical Activity laboratories
Clinical simulation and those areas for the Allied Health Professions are managed locally within the college. Further information is found on the Health Technical Resources site.
