🎓 Degree Certificate Verification – Important Information
The Department for Education (DfE) requires your original degree certificate (not a copy or digital version) to be verified in person.
This does not affect your application, but it does affect your ability to fully enrol and access student funding or bursaries.
📧 Send Your Degree Certificate to Admissions
Before attending your in-person degree certificate check,
please email an electronic copy of your certificate (and any other qualifications) to: educationsadmissions@shu.ac.uk
🎓 If You Studied at Sheffield Hallam
If your undergraduate degree is from Sheffield Hallam:
✅ You do not need to email Admissions or present your certificate in person.
📧 Just let us know by emailing: professionalchecks@shu.ac.uk
📄 All Other Applicants Must:
- 📧 Send an electronic copy to Admissions
- 🏫 Present the original certificate in person to Professional Checks at our drop in service.
⏳ Conditional Enrolment
You’ll only be able to conditionally enrol until your certificate is verified.
⏱ Conditional enrolment lasts up to 4 weeks — after that, you may be withdrawn if verification hasn’t been completed.
✅ This depends on all other Professional Checks being completed before enrolment.
