The social impact of sport on crime in England

The overarching aim of this research is to estimate the social value of sport and physical activity in relation to crime in England, using the social return on investment model to provide a monetised ratio. This research will also investigate and evaluate the mechanisms of sport and physical activity in a number of crime reduction contexts.

Josh graduated with merit from Manchester Metropolitan University in MSc Sports Business, Management and Policy, and first class honours from Manchester Metropolitan University BA(Hons) in Sports Management.

Josh trains in a number of martial arts with the aim of competing within MMA and is an avid fan of sport in general. He also enjoys cinema, music and literature.

Josh has produced a number of podcasts for the football collective and, on a consultancy basis, with various departments at Leeds Beckett University. He has presented at the football collective conference.
