Our Black British Pathway Programme has been co-created with current Black British students to help future students have the best possible start at Sheffield Hallam. The programme runs for students in Y12 all the way through to the end of Y1 at Hallam, and you can join at any point. The Black British Pathway Programme has recently been shortlisted for THE awards 2025 (widely regarded as the 'Oscars' of Higher Education) for the widening participation or outreach initiative of the year.
The programme includes:
- a student mentor to answer any questions you may have about studying at Sheffield Hallam
- a dedicated contact to answer any questions or worries about applying to Sheffield Hallam
- support through the application journey
- bespoke visits to Sheffield Hallam University
- early access to academic departments and minoritised student group events
- monthly newsletter with updates about events and tips about each stage of your application
- you might be eligible for a contextual offer.
