All our courses are designed around a set of key principles based on engaging you with the world, collaborating with others, challenging you to think in new ways, and providing you with a supportive environment in which you can thrive.

You learn to apply and critically challenge your understanding in practical contexts, particularly during real industry work experience.

You’ll have access to placement opportunities at organisations such as the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Martins Food Ltd, Gleneagles Hotel and Resort, Wanlin Dance School and the World Duty Free Group.

Live projects

Every year there are around 300 large events to get involved in across Yorkshire – sports, cultural, festivals, arts and more. We’ve established a solid relationship with their organisers, so you’ll have the chance to work, volunteer or look behind the scenes at most of these events.

Our students have been involved in events such as the Grand Depart for the Tour De France, the Children's Media Conference, Sheffield Doc/Fest and Sheffield's Chinese New Year celebrations.

Networking opportunities

We maintain strong links with the event community. We’re also the founders of the Events Hub – an informal and friendly community where practitioners can come together to share experiences and ideas, and to learn from others.
