Students are expected to attend 100% of each placement block.  Students must be present for the whole day/shift on all dates assigned to them by their placement provider. Extended periods of absence may impact an educators ability to assess students, situations like these would be reviewed on an individual basis with discussion with the academic advisor and placement team. 

Timesheets

BSc and Pre-Reg MSc students must complete an accurate record of their placement working hours using the appropriate section of your CPAF document.
Please note daily working hours do not include your lunch break.

Once completed and agreed with your practice educator, the CPAF form should be submitted electronically to the relevant BlackBoard site for the placement.

Reporting Absence

It is essential that students report sickness absence as soon as possible to the university as well as to your placement provider when you know that you will be unable to attend your placement.

Students are responsible for informing their educators and academic advisors of any absence.
