Rachel joined Sheffield Hallam in 2009 and is now a Senior Lecturer and first year tutor for Interior Design
Steven Batty
Steven continues his design practice on a freelance basis, whilst teaching as a Senior Lecturer of Interior Design at Sheffield Hallam University on both the BA, and MA Interior Design courses
Sally Billau
Sally Billau trained as an Interior Designer at Nottingham Trent University and has proven industry experience through working for a large architectural practice on a wide range of design projects. With an understanding of spatial settings and how an environment can positively impact upon the people that use and move through these spaces, Sally has interests around the personalisation of space. Sally moved into academia in 2009 and has a continuing interest in the pedagogy of design education. She is committed to pedagogic excellence in teaching through the application of innovative learning and teaching theories and methods.
Tony Broomhead
Tony joined Sheffield Hallam in 2016 and is also a Practice Mentor for the Royal College of Arts
Eve Stirling
Dr Stirling trained as a product designer (Northumbria University) and before moving to academia worked in the design industry in interiors and games design. She gained her PhD from the School of Education at the University of Sheffield and in this she took a longitudinal ethnographic approach studying Facebook use by students in transition. She is interested in the proliferation of digital spaces within our everyday lives and the relationship between time and space within these.
