Practice Educator Professional Standards for Social Work

Social Work England (2020) Practice Placement Guidance explains the roles and responsibilities of Practice Educators 'to support safe and effective learning'.

The Social Work Reform Board made the decision that social work students should be assessed on placement by a practice educator who has met the learning outcomes set out in the Practice Educator Professional Standards. The Practice Educator Professional Standards for Social Work were updated by the British Association of Social Work (BASW) in 2019.
