DBS information is sent to the email address used in your course application.
📌 Make sure this is an address you check regularly (not a school or college email).
📧 To update your email, contact: professionalchecks@shu.ac.uk
🖥️ Step 1 – Online Application
You’ll receive an email from: shudbs@ebulk.teammatrix.com
📬 Check your junk/spam folder just in case.
You’ll need your SHU ID number (8 digits, found in your offer email).
DBS will check your last 5 years of address history.
If you’ve never registered to vote, your address check may fail and require extra evidence.

Step 2 – Online ID Check
After completing Step 1, you’ll get another email from: shudbs@ebulk.teammatrix.com
📬 Again, check your junk/spam folder.
📷 You’ll need a biometric passport to complete the digital ID check.
🏫 If you don’t have a biometric passport, you’ll need to attend a face-to-face ID check at the university.
