Positive DBS information

✅ Clear or Positive Disclosure

  • The University is only informed if a DBS certificate is clear or if it contains a positive disclosure.
  • If you believe your DBS may contain positive information, you must declare this as part of your suitability declaration. All positive DBS certificates will be considered by the Fitness to Practice Operational Group before you are able to commence regulated activity.
  • If your DBS has a positive disclosure, you’ll be contacted and asked to attend a drop-in session with:
    Your DBS certificate
    A form of photo ID
