Physician Associate Studies
Watch student Chloe Culpin talk about what it’s like to study as a Physicians Associate.
Please note: We have relaunched the PgDip version of this course so it is now known as MSc Physician Associate Studies. As an MSc the course now has an extra dissertation and research module to enhance your learning.
Roles and responsibilities
A Physician Associate supports doctors in the diagnosis and direct care of patients. The role might be within a GP surgery or be based in a hospital and involves recording the medical history of patients and performing physical examinations to help diagnose illness.
You will see patients with long-term chronic conditions to try and manage and resolve conditions. You will analyse test results and develop management plans.
