Pride 2026

The Student Wellbeing and Belonging Team are proud to be allies or members of the LGBTQIA+ community and take great pleasure in supporting students to be their individual authentic selves. 

If you identify as LGBTQIA+ or ally and are celebrating, we wish you a happy Pride. We also understand that celebrating might not be where an individual is at. Whether you are celebrating or unable to celebrate, take a moment to really accept yourself just as you are. This includes knowing that your expression of your identity is absolutely fine. There are no “shoulds” and acceptance starts with ourselves.

    Kelham Pride returns on Saturday 20th June with parades, stalls, music, performances and much more. Hallam are proud sponsors of Kelham Pride, come and join the celebrations at Kelham Island and Neepsend.

    Join the parade

    We'll be flying our Team Hallam flag high on Saturday 20 June at the Kelham Pride parade. You can join the parade for free. If you register your interest you'll receive further information about the parade closer to the time.

    Information, support and resources

      Our Self-help pages have information, resources and support for topics like gender identity, sexuality and relationships including romantic, sexual, family or friendships. 

      Togetherall has a range of LGBTQIA+ resources and community topics where you can find support and offer support to others. It's a free, anonymous platform available to Hallam students if you log in with your student email address. 

      Hallam Students' Union website has a wide range of information for anyone wanting to learn more about Pride or the LGBTQIA+ community, links to support, resources and LGBTQ+ friendly spaces and communities in Sheffield. They are also running some events that you can take part in for Pride.
