Before joining the Sheffield Institute of Education in 2017, I worked variously in the world of theatre as an actor, writer and director, principally in the field of Theatre-in-Education. As a result of my interest in and commitment to education growing, I took a PGCE and subsequently taught in secondary schools, Further Education colleges and also on the creative writing MA at SHU.
