Arriving for September 2026
To be ready for Orientation and your course induction, please plan to arrive in Sheffield by Thursday 10 September 2026 at the latest.
Orientation takes place on Friday 11 September 2026 and covers essential information you need to succeed, from settling in to understanding key university services. Attendance is crucial, so please arrive on time to make sure you don’t miss important guidance or opportunities to meet other students.
If you arrive outside of our Meet and Greet desk opening hours and you need assistance, you can call our 24-hour helpline: 0800 073 1318 – make sure to save this number before you travel.
Don't forget to contact your accommodation/landlord in advance to confirm your arrival time.
Timeline
Follow our timeline and complete the key tasks to ensure a smooth transition to study in Sheffield Hallam.
If you are an international postgraduate taught or undergraduate applicant you are required to pay a deposit, which will be quoted on your offer letter, before you receive your Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) from Sheffield Hallam.
A prepayment of £8000, less your deposit, or 100% of the tuition fee if this is less than £8000, is required on re-enrolment each year.

Once you are in Sheffield, visit our on-campus International Meet & Greet desk with your questions, as many times as you need.
If you are studying in the UK on a Student visa, you must activate your eVisa before your immigration documents can be checked and you can complete enrolment.
All students who have declared a nationality which is not British or Irish must attend an on-campus document checking event as part of the enrolment process.
