City Campus

The Owen Building entrance is the University's main entrance on City Campus. From here you can also reach Norfolk, Harmer, Surrey and Howard buildings.

Room numbers

Our room numbers have a common structure. The building code comes first, then the floor, then the room.

For example, room 7140 is:

  • Stoddart Building (7)
  • Floor 1 (1)
  • Room 40 (40)

Our building codes are below. Don't worry if you can't remember them. There are maps and help points on campus, and there will be people on hand to guide you during Welcome Week.

Travel between campuses

Bus

You can get the 81, 82, 83, 85, 88 and 88A buses between City and Collegiate campuses. Tickets cost around £1.20 with your student card.

Walking or cycling

It takes 25–30 minutes to walk between campuses, and around 10 minutes to cycle.

Parking

You can get discount at this car park near City Campus.

  • APCOA, Eyre Street: Scan your blue token at Hallam Help points in Owen Level 5, Charles Street or Cantor buildings to claim your discount.

Parking at Collegiate Campus is limited. All spaces are on-street, and most are pay-and-display. If you can, we recommend parking in the city centre and travelling on from there.
