Working together

Working together

Working Together is about meaningful partnership between staff and students. Building shared understanding of different perspectives, collating and using feedback to make a positive impact on student experiences.

Your voice makes a real difference

In response to your feedback, we have invested in what matters to you and improved areas you felt could be better. These include:

  • Revising MyHallam to provide you with the information you need

  • Increased access to a wide range of specialist software through Apps Anywhere

  • The new College Officers and support for Department Reps to better represent your academic interests

  • Named Academic Advisors to support all students

  • Enhanced employability support through The Class Of 2022 programme

  • Changes to assessment to ensure fair outcomes including online exams, easier access to extensions and repeat assessment attempts

Undergraduate student surveys

The National Student Survey (NSS) asks final year undergraduate students across the country to reflect on their university experience. It is run by an independent agency and approved by the University.

The results from the National Student Survey are published throughout the UK every year. This is your opportunity to shout about what Sheffield Hallam has done for you.

Postgraduate student surveys

There are two surveys for postgraduate students run by the Higher Education Academy.

Module surveys

Module Evaluation Questionnaires (MEQs)   - after each module you will be given the opportunity to provide anonymous feedback regarding your experiences of your modules.

Other ways you can make a difference

You can represent your fellow students’ views about your university experiences and help make positive changes by volunteering to become a Student Representative. Visit the Sheffield Hallam Students' Union web pages to find out more about how to make your voice heard.
