Learn Adobe Premiere Pro for Video Editing & Production

We use video for many different purposes, from creating social media content to producing professional films, advertisements, and broadcasts. Unlike still images or graphics, video editing requires tools that can seamlessly combine footage, audio, transitions, and effects.  

Access to Adobe applications 

This version of Adobe is available only to students on selected courses. Students in Architecture, Art & Design, and Media, Arts & Communication may be eligible for an Adobe Creative Cloud invitation-only price plan, please check with your tutor to see if this applies to you.

What is Adobe Premiere Pro 

Adobe Premiere Pro is one of the most widely-known and widely-used applications for editing video, and it can be used for everything from quick edits and vlogs to complex, high-end productions for film and television. 

How to access and Support

If you are eligible for the Adobe Creative Cloud invitation-only price plan, you can install Adobe Creative Cloud on your personal device. Otherwise, you will only have access to a trial version.  
 
If you are not eligible for the invitation-only price plan you can purchase Adobe or try the software using the free trail offer. You can find out more about Adobe Creative cloud under the free and discounted software section of MyHallam.

The Premiere Pro Essential Training course introduces the basics of working with video in Premiere Pro. You’ll learn how to import and organise footage, edit clips on the timeline, add transitions and titles, adjust colour and audio, and use essential tools to create polished, professional-quality videos.
